♥ Visit http://dancehoops.com/hooptubingflowchart/ to help you narrow down which style of hooping you are interested in and the tubing that corresponds with that style! ♥ Waist hooping and hoopdancing with tricks are sometimes easier with specific tubing and diameters. If you need assistance just ask! ♥ Don't follow the old addage of "belly button height". Since not every person has the same waist size we base hoop diameter off of your waist in inches (like a pant size). ♥ 1.1 x waist = fast/advanced ♥ 1.2 x waist = medium/intermediate ♥ 1.3 x waist = slow/beginner. ♥ We make hoops ANY DIAMETER! If you need something smaller or larger than the listed sizes shoot us a message.

♥ Remove the bubblewrap and vinyl tape from your hoop . This video covers the assembly process of collapsible/coiled/shrink with me hoops: http://tinyurl.com/assemblehoop ♥ Push Button Hoop: Uncoil your hoop and let it "breathe" on a flat surface for a few hours (this helps relax the plastic after shipping as a tight coil). Insert the male push button end into the female end. If it is a tight fit try twisting and pushing at the same time. You can also apply a dab of coconut oil! The push button will emerge through the hole visible in the female end. ♥ Coiled / Friction Fit: If the hoop is warmed it is easier to connect the coiled hoops. Sunlight for 30 minutes or 30 seconds of a hair dryer will help to warm the plastic. Hair dryer works!

Wholesale availability

What is the difference between push button, collapsible, or coiled hoops?

3/4" PE "beginner" hoops come in three different styles: ♥ Push button - Your hoop comes with a push button so it can be opened up and coiled small for travel/transport. ♥ Collapsible - Available on sizes 36" and up! These are also called "infinity travel hoops" because they fold down like a windshield cover into a figure 8 then down again into a small circle 1/4 its original size. So a 40" hoop will shrink down into 2 20" circles which are connected by rotating connection points. ♥ Coiled hoops - This style of hoop is a single piece of tubing with a barbed fitting. Once it arrives you assemble the hoop (instructions included on receipt) and then it will become a full size hoop that cannot be taken apart or made small

Specs for HDPE, PE, Polypro?

♥ PE 1/2" 125 psi: weighs a little less than a pound for 40". Similar size to store-bought hula hoops. Thickness: 3/4", (like your thumb/nickel) ♥ PE 3/4" 100 psi: weighs around 1.25 pounds for 40". Thicker than store-bought hula hoops. Thickness: 1.1", (like your big toe/quarter) ♥ PE 3/4" 160 psi: weighs around 1.6 pounds for 40". Thicker than store-bought hula hoops. Thickness: 1.25" (a little larger than your big toe/50 cent piece) ♥ HDPE or Polypro 1/2": weighs around .5lb for a 33" Thickness: 1/2", (like a pencil/pinky) ♥ HDPE or Polypro 5/8": weighs around .6 for a 33" Thickness: 5/8", (like a dime/index finger) ♥ HDPE or Polypro 3/4": weighs around .75 for a 33" Thickness: 3/4" (like a nickel/thumb)

What are the benefits of hooping?

♥ Hooping can burn up to 800 calories an hour! ♥ It doesn't stop as an awesome core workout - it is also a creative outlet as an individual or performance art. ♥ You can unlock tricks and develop your own style of hoopdance through the hours and hours of Youtube footage or by finding a class nearby. ♥ Thousands of people are hooping, come see what its all about!

Gift wrapping and packaging

♥ We can gift wrap your hoop with brown paper and a gorgeous satin ribbon for a small extra fee. ♥ When it arrives simply remove the outer shipping plastic/bubble wrap and give the gift of hooping!

Do you measure OD or ID?

♥ We measure our hoops with OD (Outer Diameter). To calculate OD with a specific ID (Inner Diameter) in mind, simply add the thickness of the tubing you are getting x 2 to the tubing diameter. ♥ So if you want a 30" ID 3/4" thick HDPE hoop, you will add 3/4" x 2 = 1.5" to your 30" ID. 30" + 1.5" = 31.5" ♥ If the listing only shows 31" or 32" just make a comment you'd like a specific half size so the hoop is a perfect fit!

Do you need all the help you can get with your hula hoop? Its probably a good idea to get even more grip if you want to be CERTAIN it doesn't slip! With this Add- on you can add 1/2" grip to the interior of your hoop. If your hoop is fully-taped and you choose interior grip, the tape will be applied before the final spiral tape, so it will be anchored to your hoop.

CHOOSE A STYLE:

*Interior Grip - A line of gaffers tape will be added to the interior rim of the hoop. Because this style is taped to the surface of the hoop it may come off eventually because it is not anchored down. I've had some grip last years and some not make it a full year. Use and exposure to elements plays a factor. It could also come loose during shipment but will just need to be smoothed back down. If you live somewhere hot or humid this is more likely. For individuals living in such regions "SPIRAL GRIP" is recommended.

*Spiral Grip - A spiral of grip tape is added to the hoop

*Spiral + interior grip - A combo of interior grip and a spiral of grip tape is the best of both worlds! Easy gripping for tricks as well as a line on the inner rim of the hoop for onbody hooping!

(Not applicable for fabric or ribbon hoops.)
