CARE INSTRUCTIONS

We recommend you keep your mat dry and under a covered area to protect against discoloration and sheltered from the elements. If a coir doormat gets wet it will not dry properly. The coconut fibers absorb the water and will push the natural coconut oil to the surface of the mat. This will give the mat a darker stained appearance. Water may also damage the design causing it to fade faster.

Shedding is normal when you first receive your mat. These loose fibers, caused during manufacturing, are knocked out when you give your mat a gentle shake. These mats can be swept or vacuumed to keep them clean and fresh looking.

Every mat is different and unique. Some mats can be lighter or darker than what is pictured in this listing. Since coir comes from coconut husks, some fibers can be thicker or thinner than others. Sometimes there will also be some thicker chunks of husks in the doormat fibers.
