What if my item arrives broken or damaged?

In the unfortunate event that your item arrives and was broken or damaged during shipping, please take photos of the item and all packaging materials and contact me within 24 hours of receipt. I will take the appropriate action in order to process a refund and/or file a shipping insurance claim.

I clean most items I purchase for my shop with soap and water (except for wood, baskets, and artwork). I leave many of my items in their original condition so buyers can decide whether to polish them. Silver-plated and brass items occasionally have varying degrees of tarnish. Some of these I polish, while others I leave as-is so buyers can choose whether to polish them. Please see the photos for information on the item's condition.

Domestic and International shipping is available. I can combine shipping for multiple items, but some items may not ship safely together. Please get in touch with me before placing your order so I can provide the updated combined shipping costs.

Shipping costs are always estimated based on the farthest shipping point. The packaging scale can vary depending on the item's size, fragility, and other factors. If the actual shipping cost exceeds the estimated amount by $1.00 or more, you'll receive a refund for the overpayment.

I prioritize the condition of every item. Fragile items are meticulously packaged and may require double-boxing, which can increase their estimated shipping weight and cost. If there's a significant difference in shipping costs due to oversized items or special handling requirements, I'll contact you before shipping to discuss these additional protective measures and arrange payment for any extra costs.

International shipments may take several weeks to reach their destination. I'm not responsible for any delays in postal service, customs, tariffs, or fees.

Local Portland-area residents can choose to pick up their orders. Don't hesitate to contact me before checkout so I can activate the free local option for your order.

The shipping time depends on when you place your order. I usually ship out the same day or the next. Occasionally, it may take up to three business days for your item to ship. If you need something by a specific date, please let me know, and I'll do my best to accommodate your request.

To reduce our environmental impact, I regularly use recycled boxes and clean, reusable, or recyclable materials for packaging.
