Yep, this is handmade of brushstrokes, paint smeared on a canvas, nothing digital or printed… just an artist painting at an easel. (There’s a dog asleep under the easel).

Traditionally crafted oil paint on canvas won’t wear out, fade, or lose its color and shine. It will last longer than you! Gallery wrapped edges mean it doesn’t need a frame - it is ready to hang on your wall or lean on your shelf now.

How it works: you send me a photo of your pet. I use it as a reference photo to make a painting!

It’s going to take awhile for me to create your painting, so please pay attention to the estimated shipping time listed. I have a bunch of painting orders at once, and I want to give each of them the time and careful attention they deserve. Something made to last lifetimes takes a little time to create.

If you need to give a gift sooner, message me - we can get the process started now, and I'll make you a printable (or email-able) certificate to gift to your loved one, letting them know their custom work of art is in process and headed to them soon. I also offer gift certificates for them to choose their own photo.

Yep, right now I'm only offering one option for size (10x10 square) to keep things simple and affordable. I'll be creating a portrait focusing on your pet's face, and will minimize background details to focus on the star of the show - your animal buddy.

I love brushstrokes more than teeny tiny details, so if you're looking for a perfect reconstruction of each little hair, whisker, and scale, I might not be the artist for you - but if what you want is a carefully crafted work of art, I've got you covered!

Your pet's portrait will be kickin' around in my studio for weeks... I don't want to just copy a photo, I'd like to think about your pet! In the notes, please tell me a little about the animal I'm painting - their name, their favorite toy, a story of how you got them... a little something to let me know why I'm painting this particular animal for you! You can also send me extra photos so I can get a feel for their personality.
