This abstract print is called "Seagull by the Sea." It's a 20x30 cm (8x12") acid-free, handmade original fine art paper from Hahnemühle with beautiful, vibrant colors. The giclée print (very high-quality color printing) poster (20x30 cm) on the beautiful, sturdy paper has a wonderful texture. The colors pop off the paper. That's also why I choose this high-quality, somewhat more expensive paper. It has a beautiful, matte finish without reflection from ambient light.

The design is made by cutting paper in abstract shapes. These papercuts form the collage. I scan the shapes and drawings and color them in the computer.

MY DESIGN STORY:
The design for this print I made with paper and scissors (paper cuts). I cut the shapes, scan them and edit it digitally on the computer, but the basis is always handwork. The cutouts give the illustration a crafted, manual and also an imperfect feel and that imperfection is exactly what I look for in my designs.

BACKGROUND INFO: I try to have my products made as close to home as possible. In addition, it is printed in small editions. At the moment there is only 1 of these. The delivery is increasingly done with an electric van and I take it to the post office by bike.
