Ice Age Moose. A noble, rustic moose silhouette sculpture. This representation is inspired by ancient artforms, thoughtfully rendered by the artist in his studio deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest.

Made of plate steel with a black brushstroke finish, Ice Age Moose is 7.5" wide, 9.5" tall, and stands on a 4" deep base. Total weight is about 2.75 lbs.

The current imagery and art of Robért Shashinda is rooted in his decades-long interest the symbology of pectoglyphs, pictographs, and geoglyphs of the ancient peoples from different areas of the world and his memories of the archeological sites and traditional art of the Southwest. Robért does not copy these images, but instead relies on them as inspiration for his renderings of the natural world and the spiritual world, between which, for many, there is no separation.

His work is also inspired by the creatures that surround his home in the Pacific Northwest, which include orcas, humpback whales, crows, ravens, elk, otters, salmon, and octopus, as well as other creatures he has encountered throughout his life.
