I ordered this as a remembrance piece for my aunt, who has lost both of her sisters and her mother. Originally it was only designed with 2 stones, but I asked the artist to add a third, making it an alternating pattern of emerald, blue topaz, and opal, representing all 3 family members. It's exactly what I intended, and is just beautiful.
