The chain link size is 1mm. Big enough for jump rings and charms to attach, but small enough as to not leave a mark or break in the spine. The chain should fit comfortably within your pages.

Absolutely love it the crystal is beautiful, I just wish the chain was a bit longer to fit books better

Thank you for your feedback! This particular bookmark is meant to be shorter with the crystal on the outside and the star resting inside the book (Roughly 6"). Every other chain style bookmark that I create and have listed in my shop have a chain of around 11" to accommodate the majority of book sizes! With those styles, both charm and crystal will be visible on either book end. I hope this helps!
