DO NOT USE listing mockups to choose a size. I do my best to show the decals at the sizes I have available, however, the mockups are NOT TO SCALE. Decal dimensions are available under the size/dimensions dropdown. MEASURE THE SPACE you wish to place the decal and MAKE A TEMPLATE so you can determine if the decal is big or small enough to fit the space you have available.

Dimensions shown are the OVERALL DIMENSIONS of the decal and include all design elements (e.g. text, swirls, floral elements, etc.).

MULTIPLE SIZES are available for each decal and typically range between 1 inch and 11.5 inches high

Please read the following information carefully BEFORE purchasing your decal.

1) With a ruler, measure the HEIGHT(h) and WIDTH(w) of space you plan on applying your decal. For a decal to be seen at a distance (ex. car window) you need to choose a bigger decal. Typically, 5 inches works best but each design is different, a smaller height may work better if the width is very long.

2) Often, it is good to have space between your decal and the edge of the surface you plan on applying the decal. For example, if you are applying a decal to a mug and the mug is 4 inches high, purchase a decal that is 3 or 3.5 inches so you have a .25 to .5 inch space at the top and bottom of your mug.

3) If you are in doubt, make a template by cutting a piece of paper using the dimensions of the decal you wish to purchase. For example, if you want to apply a decal to your front door that is 3 inches high and 10.29 inches wide, make a template that is 3 high and 10.5 inches wide and place on your door to see if the decal will fit.

4) Visual size guide - sizes are approximate:
--- 1 inch = Height of quarter
--- 2 inch = Height of domino
--- 3 inch = Height of Deck of playing cards
--- 4.5 inch = Height of slice of bread
--- 6 inch = Length of american dollar bill
--- 7.5 inch = Height of DVD case
--- 8.5 inch = Width of piece of copy paper
--- 10 inch = Height of standard dinner plate
--- 11 inch = Height of piece of copy paper

-- May not adhere well to Low or No VOC paints, newly painted walls (less than 6 weeks), or scuff resistant paint. See CHOOSING A SURFACE for more information.

-- DO NOT use in extreme weather, heavy-use, heavy abuse, or high-moisture conditions.

OUTDOOR VINYL – Oracal 651 – Permanent Vinyl

-- Ideal for medium term indoor and outdoor applications
-- Can be placed on almost any smooth, hard, dry surface. Ideal surfaces include plastic, metal, glass, ceramic, painted wood
-- Permanent, high tack, removable but can damage painted or other delicate surfaces. Once removed, decal cannot be reapplied.
-- May not adhere well to Low or No VOC paints, newly painted walls (less than 6 weeks), or scuff resistant paint. See CHOOSING A SURFACE for more information.
-- Finish is glossy except Black and White is available in both matte and glossy
-- Can handle moisture, heavy use, heavy abuse, and extreme weather conditions. Prolonged exposure to extreme conditions will accelerate wear and tear on decal and fade the color. Do not immerse in water for long periods of time.
-- Thickness: 2.5 mil
-- Durability: up to 6 years (Metallic is 4 years, Brilliant Blue is 3 years)
-- Temperature resistance is -40 degrees F to +176 degrees F
-- Minimum application temperature is 46 degrees F

/////**/////**/////**/////** CHOOSING YOUR SURFACE **

IMPORTANT!!! A decal cannot be applied to all surfaces. In order for a decal to adhere properly, the surface must be clean, smooth, hard, largely flat, & dry with a temperature between 50-90°F.

**Stellar and Stark is not responsible for decals not sticking to your chosen surface or errors applying your decal. If you are unsure whether or not your decal will stick , contact me via Etsy convo and REQUEST A SAMPLE to be sent to your residence. You can try out your surface and make sure the decal will stick before ordering.

The most common problems found with decal application are as follows:
--NOT choosing the correct vinyl type (indoor vs outdoor vinyl);
--NOT rubbing the top of the transfer tape thoroughly before pulling tape from decal;
--SURFACE is not flat enough e.g. washing machine door shaped like an upside-down bowl;
--SURFACE is too hot (over 90 degrees); SURFACE is too cold (below 50 degrees);
--SURFACE is too bumpy or textured;
--SURFACE is wet or environment is too humid;
--SURFACE is not cleaned properly (dirt, oil, soap, chemical residue, etc.);
--SURFACE is newly painted – WAIT AT LEAST 6 WEEKS;
--SURFACE is painted with value paint;
--SURFACE paint is whitewash;
--SURFACE paint is old, flaking, powdery, or chalky;
--SURFACE is painted with eggshell paint;
--SURFACE is painted with low or zero VOC paint ("Green paint");
--SURFACE is painted with "Teflon”, “silicone” or similar additives to make them “wash and wear“ e.g. - scuff resistant, child resistant, wear resistant, etc.;
--SURFACE is papered e.g. wallpaper, cardboard, cardstock
--SURFACE is waxed
--SURFACE is silicone
--SURFACE is covered with window film e.g. frosted, tinted, etc. - this includes window film applied by manufacturer.
--SURFACE is MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard)

TEST YOUR SURFACE: Test the surface using a piece of masking tape or Washi tape. Though not foolproof, this simple test may indicate whether your decal will stick to your chosen surface.

MIRRORS - Notice - If applying to mirrors, there may be a double reflection effect. This effect is especially noticeable with dark colored vinyl.

Your decal has an expiration date. DO NOT wait to apply your decal. Be sure to apply the decal to your chosen surface as soon as possible. The adhesive on the transfer tape and the decal changes as time goes by and can make your decal difficult or impossible to apply. These changes begin immediately and can alter the usability of your decal in as little as two weeks.

I work as quickly as I can. Decals are custom made on a first-come, first-serve basis. Orders are shipped within 1-3 business days (Monday - Saturday).

Please allow 3 WEEKS for delivery.

Delivery times provided by Etsy are ESTIMATES ONLY. Shipping times are NOT GUARANTEED.

Decals are sent via USPS Ground Advantage rate mail. ONCE SHIPPED, delivery generally takes 3-10 business days but may take longer (possibly up to 3 weeks) depending on location and time of year. Tracking is provided. If it has been THREE WEEKS since your order was shipped and you have not received your order, send me an Etsy convo.

SHIPPING OVERAGES FOR MULITPLE DECALS: I refund all shipping overages greater than $2.00 for purchases of multiple decals. For example, you buy 5 decals and get charged $8.00 shipping, if shipping costs me $4.00 I will refund the $4.00 shipping overage. Any questions about shipping overages, please send me an Etsy convo.

You can upgrade to priority mail (1-3 days for delivery) during checkout. Please note: Delivery time for Priority Mail is NOT GUARANTEED. Priority shipping is often quicker than USPS Ground Advantage but your package may take longer than 2-3 days to arrive. USPS Priority Express shipping WILL NOT be offered under any circumstances. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

International orders are sent first class international mail. Once shipped delivery take between 7-60 days for depending on the country, and DO include a tracking number. You may be subject to paying customs tax on any international order -- you are responsible for understanding your government's tax laws.

I do not accept returns nor do I give refunds. However, it is important to me that you are happy with your purchase. If there is any problem with your decal, send me an Etsy convo and I will work towards a solution.

If you order a decal that is too small, too big, or you have difficulty installing your decal, take advantage of my DECAL REPLACEMENT program. I will send you a replacement decal at a discount rate.
