I love one of the items you have, but I really want to adjust it and use different font combinations that I see in your shop, is this possible? Can I just write it in the notes section when I place my order?

It is always recommended to contact us before placing an order to confirm the possibility of making changes or customizations. While certain items, like a name sign, may be relatively easy to switch, others such as a milestone set might require additional time and effort, potentially incurring a customization fee. Rest assured, I am here to assist you in bringing your vision to life and will gladly work with you to make it happen if possible!

Ensuring Quality: Our Returns, Exchanges and Damage Policy

Our shop policies state that we do not accept returns or exchanges, as orders are made to order and we do not keep additional stock on hand. If you have any questions about your order, please contact us. Additionally, we ask that packages are checked upon arrival for any damage. Reports of damaged items must be received within five days of delivery.

Our official business hours are Monday - Friday from 8 am to 5 pm EST. We strive to respond to messages promptly while also processing orders. If you reach out to us on a weekend, we'll reply as soon as possible. Whenever we are going out of town or temporarily closed for orders, we will notify our customers in advance through the Etsy shop bulletin. This announcement will include the dates of closure and the expected duration. To stay up to date and receive notifications you can follow our shop by selecting the heart that says "Follow Shop" on the shop homepage.

What is your social media policy?

At Wood, Wit, & Whimsy, we love sharing our creative process and final products on social media to inspire others and showcase our work. If you prefer that we don’t share images of your custom order, please notify us when placing your order or within 2 hours of the order being placed. Once a post has been shared, it cannot be removed. Do you send mock-ups or proofs for all orders?

Mock-ups are only sent upon request. You can request one in the personalization box or message us within two hours of ordering. Because files are created daily, late requests may not be possible once production begins. Please review and reply to your mock-up quickly—delays in approval can postpone production or shipping. Once made, orders cannot be adjusted.

Can I get this delivered by “this date” if I order today?

The time needed to prepare an order for shipping varies depending on my current workload and the item itself. For specific processing times, please refer to the individual items. If you require expedited processing, please contact me before placing the order to check if it's possible. Although I strive to ship as quickly as possible, please note that writing a specific date in the comments won't guarantee early shipment. We do offer limited "Rush my order" options as well, which when purchased will bump your order to ship within 24 hours. While I can provide shipping dates, I cannot guarantee delivery dates, as it is beyond my control once the order is handed over to the postal service.

Gift wrapping and packaging

If you select “This order is a gift” at checkout, your item will be packaged as usual, and we’ll include an Etsy gift receipt with your message printed on it. For an upgraded gift wrap option, your order will be wrapped in either decorative wrapping paper or high-quality tissue paper, depending on the item, and tied with cord or ribbon. Your gift message will be engraved on wood and attached to the package for a special, personalized touch.

Custom and personalized orders

We do take custom/personalized orders! If you see a photo of an item we have made but don't see it available in our shop, or if you have an idea for something you would like made, please feel free to reach out and we will be happy to discuss the possibilities with you!

I provided the wrong address at checkout, what do I do?

If your order has not yet shipped, please reach out ASAP and I can cancel the order so that it can be re-ordered with the correct address, it will still ship by the original "ship by" date. If your order has already shipped you may be able to have it forwarded to your new address through your local USPS. If the item is returned to the shop due to an error in the address provided a new shipping label will need to be purchased. Once you contact us to let us know we will create a listing specifically for the cost of the new shipping, once purchased the order will be re-shipped as quickly as possible.

I am interested in a color that is not shown as available for a listing but I see it in your shop, can I write in the notes section that is the color I want?

If you're interested in a color that is not shown as available for a listing, we kindly request that you reach out to us to check its availability PRIOR to placing an order. While we may have the color you desire, certain colors such as dark sage, mauve, dusty lavender, mustard, and terra cotta are available in limited supply. They may have been precut to maximize material use. We appreciate your understanding and would be happy to assist you in finding the perfect color for your order.

Ordering is easy, simply choose which set you would like from the drop down menu- milestones only, or a milestone set with the Hello World and/or name card. If ordering a name card please provide the name exactly as you would like it written/ spelled, and a color if you have a preference. Name card orders without a color request will be navy blue.

Once we receive your order we will begin working on it as soon as possible. When completed tracking information will be provided allowing you to track your order from our shop to your home.
