This is a beautiful, AAA Grade, Top Quality Amethyst Geode from Uruguay. This natural Uruguayan amethyst cluster consists of numerous, various sized crystals that display top quality, Lavender purple color! This piece sits upright on the brown/gray exterior of the geode that has been polished flat on the bottom for easy display. It is in excellent condition, but like all natural crystals, minor imperfections may be present, especially near the edges where it was mined out of a larger geode pocket. This piece has a great shape, with lovely curves and a deep, prominent geode pocket. It sits easily on its flat base for display. You will receive the exact stone pictured in the listing, which measures 4.6 in. x 3.4 in. x 3 in. (largest points) and weighs 1 pounds, 11.5 ounces. Be sure to look at the photo with the ruler to get an idea of size.

The majority of the worlds commercial Amethyst comes from Brazil. Uruguayan Amethyst is highly prized, as it tends to be richer in color and have more numerous and smaller crystals, often growing over rounded, bubbly geode formations. Amethyst can lose it's color if left in direct sunlight over time so keep it indoors and do not display it in a window. Artificial light or temporary sun exposure are fine though.
