We recommend using a protective layer (spray or cream) to impregnate the leather, which will make it more water and dirt resistant and prevent salt-staining. Leather is a sensitive fabric, so please, even if you treat your shoes with a spray, avoid wearing them in rain. The protective layer will wear off with time, so remember to treat your shoes in a month or two, especially if wearing them daily.

Please, note the soles of our ballet flats when new, may be slippery. On the first days of wearing them. Please be careful with smooth surfaces. Once the soles scratch slightly, you can wear the ballet flats as usual.

I ordered these shoes for my upcoming wedding! A lot of people in the other reviews say they are more gold than they expected, and I think it wouldn’t work with a white white wedding dress, but my dress is biscotti/ivory with subtle sparkles and these shoes are perfect. The quality is nice and they feel comfortable. My left shoe is a bit smaller than my right, and my heel was coming up out of the shoe when I walked. I reached out to customer service to see if I should exchange for another pair with a ribbon or buckle, but she recommended inserting a heel pad to see if it solved the problem. I ordered some stick on heel pads for oversized shoes on Amazon and it completely solved the problem and I can’t wait to wear these shoes on my wedding day! I also loved the packaging, so delicate and pretty and it SMELLED GOOD when opened.

This item matches the description, however, there is a slight crease in the front part of one of the shoes that I don’t believe will be coming out. For such an expensive item, I also thought it would have some sort of adjustment system to keep the ribbon up on the leg, or some sort of suggestion for how to tie it in a way that keeps it up.
