Seller's description

This warp is wound and ready to go on the loom. I dyed the warp after winding it. The colors are shades of red, salmon, pink, brown, beige, and pale pink. With the way that I dye my warps the colors do not generally occur across the entire warp. You may get some of the appearance of a shifted warp without any shifting, can also have some of the appearance of a painted warp. The color changes are organic and flowing. The placement of colors just happen where they will, there is no planning. This means that each warp is different and the way that the colors change will be different thru out the warp. Look at listings of my scarves for examples. Color #DW268.

This warp is 8/2 ring spun cotton, with approximately 3360 yards per pound and 30 wraps per inch. There are warp chains of 400, 300, 200, 100, and 50 ends and they are 5 3/4 yards long. The cross is tied and there are choke ties near each end and a tie in the loops at each end. I try and catch all knots but since I might have missed one, I include at least two extra warp threads. I recommend saving them for repair threads as needed.

I use color-fast fiber reactive dyes and wash and rinse many times. As with anything dyed, there could still be some excess dye, especially with dark or bright colors. I recommend using a color catcher as needed.

I dye my warps one at a time, so each warp is one of a kind. If this is a warp with multiple options of ends, each one will have the same colors, but the placements of the colors will not be the same and the amounts of each color may be different. I do my best to describe the colors in each warp and to get the best pictures, but I can only describe the main colors. There may be some bits of other colors as the colors mix. Feel free to convo me for more info if needed.

Warps may be woven as is or you may add to a warp. You can add a solid color as a stripe, as every other thread, as every 2nd or 3rd or any other number, either to change the look or simply to make the warp wider. You can also combine multiple warps together or you could also split a warp and save part to use another time. The length given is what it measures after dyeing and drying, I round down to the nearest 1/8 of a yard.
