I selected that Boujad rug from piles of carpets because I think that it's a beautiful and joyful piece with such deep colors and traditional berber designs: stars and flowers and Amazigh fibulas! A true testimony of the berber way of life!

The rug's dimensions make it a great one to hang on the wall like a painting! You would think that the rug has been cut as the bold design in the middle seems unfinished. But a tiny flatweave ending close to the tassels shows that the rug was just made like this. And square vintage moroccan rugs are quite rare.

Background color is a warm purple, with a deep orange part where you can spot the black stars serie. Designs all over the rug are black, cream, orange, yellow, green. The rug has not been bleached out like the "popular" ones on the market and will come with original colors.

Made of wool 100%, low to medium pile.

Approximate dimensions are 5.4x5.8feet (+2inches tassels) / 167x177cm (+5cm tassels).

Please note again that this rug is vintage, meaning that it's been made first for private use, not directly for the market. It will come with light signs of wear: the borders have been fixed and new tassels were added. That said, the rug is in excellent condition!
