Are all your dried flowers edible?

NOOOOO!!! Though some of my dried flowers are considered edible by standard accepted knowledge, FloreOrganicBotanics is not selling any flowers as edible and is not assuming any responsibility for any allergy, illness or injurious effect that may result from consuming edible flowers and leaves. I do not have any certification or license to sell food. Consume flowers at your own risk.

Are all your flowers and leaves organic?

Almost all my flowers and herbs are organically grown with tender loving care in my Garden State backyard without pesticides or chemicals. I use my own compost as well as local compost. I do not have pets (though there are so many rabbits and squirrels in the garden that they often seem like pets and not only pests!). The tree foliage (for instance ginkgo and maple) comes from trees on my block -I think they are organic but I am not sure. Sometimes I also sell flowers that I collect on my travels.

How do you package your pressed flowers and leaves?

I put cardstock into a cellophane bag and add the flowers/leaves on top of the cardstock. I close the cellophane bag and stuff it into a bubble envelope. My flowers and leaves are pressed and dried without preservatives so they are very delicate and brittle. I often add a few more in each cellophane bag just in case.

Can you make custom flowers and leaves packages?

YES!!! I have binders full of pressed flowers and can make on-demand packages. I could send you specific flowers or specific color schemes. I can also send fresh greenery, such as magnolia leaves, euonymus foliage, and holly branches -I will cut them on demand.

Why is your shop open on-and-off?

The FloreOrganicBotanics shop is open on-and-off because I travel often for my real job and want to be able to ship your orders quickly after you purchase, so I close the shop temporarily when I know that I won't be here to ship within a few days of your purchase.

Can I order a custom herbarium collage?

ABSOLUTELY YES! It would be my pleasure to make you a custom collage. You can let me know what dimension you want (square 8.5 x 8.5 in or rectangular horizontal 11.5 x 8 in or rectangular vertical 8 x 11.5 in); what shape for the collage (rectangular or round or heart or square); what main colors for the flowers; and whether you have any preference in terms of flowers (spring flowers; tropical floral vibe; fall foliage and flowers, Christmas holiday themed, etc.).

Pressed dogwood brooch.

This real dogwood flower was grown in the Garden State, then pressed in my Princeton, NJ dried flower studio, and then I embedded it in resin. It is a unique, one-of-a-kind gift for yourself or for others!!!

You can choose between purple dogwood (they were pink when fresh but turn a beautiful shade of purple when pressed), pink (they were color-corrected to look closer to their original color), or white (they were white when fresh but look yellowish off-white when dry).

The large dogwood flower is about 2 in long, though each flower is different and will vary a bit from the pictures. It has a brooch pin at the back. The color of the flower might fade over time but it is part of its boho, eco appeal!

The resin flower is very light-weight!!

Because each item is made by hand and from a genuine flower, it is not symmetrical and has imperfections. That is part of the charm of botanical resin jewelry!
