This Vintage, Victorian, cast metal oil lamp is very special because it is entirely original - right down to the wick. Unmarked as to its maker, I believe it was made in the last quarter of the nineteenth century, and that it is American. It stands approximately 18" tall in well used vintage condition with no chips or cracks, save one of the four globe supports which has a broken tip at its top as shown in the photo. The lamp has a flip top adjustable burner lid, and the old wick would need to be replaced if your plan was to actively use the lamp for lighting. The oil/kerosine pressed glass reservoir is etched with an attractive clear glass pattern enabling the owner to readily see the fluid level. The etched glass chimney has an attractive Victorian design, and it is very unusual to find a lamp of this kind with its original glass chimney. The lamp is unique, and it would be the centerpiece to a Victorian or farm kitchen decor. PRICE REDUCED FROM $249!
