Learn to sew patchwork text banners from start to finish! This listing is for the print version of our All Well Patchwork Alphabet zine. The prints will ship in early December. All Well Patchwork Alphabet is a risograph printed zine that guides you through the process of making a patchwork text banner from start to finish – including fully illustrated comprehensive instructions for cutting fabric, piecing patchwork, and finishing the banner.
Printed on a risograph machine, this approx. 5.25” x 8.5” (13.3 cm x 21 cm) XX-page print zine can be used and referenced to make patchwork text banners again and again. The booklet is hand-cut with stapled binding. This handmade nature means that there may be slight inconsistencies between editions. Risograph ink is a soy-based ink that never fully absorbs, similar to a newspaper, so a little bit of smudging is possible if you were to rub your fingers over the ink directly. Handle carefully and use well!
To make a patchwork text banner, you will need two contrasting colors of cotton for the letters. One color will be the background, and one will be the text. You will need extra of the background fabric to use as backing for your banner. Amounts will vary depending on the text you select. The patchwork letters are designed to be readable, simple to construct, and visually beautiful. They are all constructed in the same 9-patch motif, and are made up using a set of interchangeable components.
