Cake toppers care instructions

To ensure the longevity and quality of your Sugary Toppers cake topper, it is important to follow a few simple guidelines. Upon delivery, carefully inspect your cake topper for any signs of damage. If your topper appears to be in good condition, it is recommended that you store it in the box in which it arrived. Keep the box in a cool, dry, and dark place, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. If you do not plan to use your topper immediately, we recommend checking on it periodically to ensure that it remains in good condition. Avoid exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures, as this can cause the sugarpaste to become soft or melt. By taking these simple steps, you can keep your cake topper beautiful and cherished for years.

What happens when I order the topper, why it takes so long to dispatch?

Every topper in Sugary Toppers are made only after the purchase. As it is handmade and personalised, it takes time to actually make your order, when it needs to be dried and carefully packed. Drying can take somewhere from 2 till 4 days depending on the thickness of the topper. Only then your topper is ready to be shipped.

How my topper will be packed?

Every topper is carefully packed in food safe paper (usually kitchen roll), placed in a paper box and putted in a cardboard box with the bubble wrap around.

Can I return my order?

Unfortunately, the toppers can't be returned as they are usually personalised. However if it is something wrong with the topper or damaged in transportation, please contact me and I will try to solve the problem the best I can or I will make you full refund.

What does personalised order means?

Personalised order is the order when you change the size, the colour or other details of the topper. Also if you add name or age to your order it is treated as personalised order as well.

What to do if I need the order quicker?

If you need to get the order quicker than delivery dates stated, please contact me before ordering. I may be able to make and send your order quicker, but that depends on the date required and how busy I am at that moment.

What is expiry date for the toppers?

All sugarpaste toppers are made from sugarpaste, which has at least 6 months shelf life left, but usually much longer. Once the fondant is sculpted into decorations, it will harden. It will still look beautiful after a year or two, but may be less than pleasing to the palate. So I wouldn't recommend to eat them.

Are the toppers edible?

Even if the toppers made from sugarpaste and technically are edible, The topper should be placed on a cake only as decorative item and removed before eating. It is not for consumption as it usually has not edible parts inside (wooden sticks or polystyrene balls). 2D decorations like name or age letters, leaves or etc. are made 100% from sugarpaste and colored with edible food colours and are safe to consume.

This cake topper is designed to lay flat on the side of your cake.

Since I personally handcraft each topper with love, you can expect a unique and one-of-a-kind piece for your celebration. The size of the adorable Sonic face is about 14cm/ 5.5" in height and fits perfectly on 8" or 6" cake, but if you need it larger or smaller, just let me know, and I'll tailor it to your needs.

Your safety and enjoyment are my top priorities. Please remember that the cake topper is purely decorative and should be removed before digging into the cake. It is not for consumption as even it is made from edible materials and won't hurt you if you eat it, but usually has not edible parts inside (wooden sticks or polystyrene balls).

Creating the perfect cake topper takes some time, about a week to be precise. I want to make sure it's made and dried to perfection before I carefully pack and post it to you. If you're in the UK, you can expect your delivery within 1-2 working days from dispatch date. For my friends outside the UK, it might take a bit longer, around 1-2 weeks, due to shipping distance. Just a heads up, there could be some extra import charges for international orders.

I completely understand that sometimes you need things a bit quicker. If that's the case, just get in touch with me and let me know the required date before making your purchase. I'll do my best to accommodate your request!
