This modular, stackable self-watering 3D printable moss pole totem provides support for climbing indoor plants as a beautiful alternative to traditional moss poles. Suitable for monstera, philodendron, pothos, and more. Add sections as your plants grow, and keep the moss watered with an easy-to-use Watering Tower on top.
***3D PRINTABLE STL FILES***
This listing is a DIGITAL DOWNLOAD for STL files to 3D print your own moss pole. You will need to have an FDM (filament) printer to print these yourself - no physical item will be shipped. Prints well on most filament printers. PETG is recommended though PLA is also an option. All pieces print without need for supports. This print is of MEDIUM DIFFICULTY, and results depend on your print settings and skill level operating your printer. Ensure your printer is well-calibrated before printing.
You will need a printer of at least 111mm (4.3 in) in the X and Y direction and 170mm (6.7 inches) in the Z (height) direction to print all the pieces.
► If you would like a physical version of these printed and sent to you, check my other items! I also sell the printed version. :)
***MIX-AND-MATCH***
Customize your pole with 5 different Main Modular options, 3 different Top options, and 3 different Base options. Multiple fits are provided to allow for variations in 3D printers.
Use the "Beefier" variant if you're using weaker or more brittle filament (like Silk or Marble) or if you're wanting to build a particularly tall tower. Note that the Beefier version is not compatible with the non-beefy version (different sized connectors).
***DIMENSIONS***
Each modular section (and the watering tower) adds 12 cm (4.7 inches) to the tower. The main modular pieces are 8.6 cm (3.4 inches) at their largest diameter. This makes this tower suitable for larger pots - bigger is better (and big pots are fine for plants as long as your soil is airy and your pots drain). Pieces must be printed at 100% scale and should not be resized.
***WATERING TOWER***
The Watering Tower section makes the pole self-watering, slowly dripping water onto the moss to help aerial roots attach. The drip rate is adjustable via a knob on the bottom, and can be filled without removing the Watering Tower from the pole.
***PDF INSTRUCTIONS***
Included are complete instructions on how to print, assemble, and use your moss pole.
***DOWNLOAD VIA LINK***
You will be able to access two files once purchased: a PDF file with instructions, and a TXT file with the link to download the files from my Google Drive. This is due to Etsy's file size limits - the files are just too big to fit on Etsy directly.
***TERMS OF USE***
These files are provided strictly for your individual, personal, non-commercial use. This means you can print these as many times as you want for your own plants, or make some to give as gifts to family and friends. But you can't sell them or mass-produce them.
You are not allowed to sell printed versions of these files in any way. Do not print these files for sale. You are only allowed to take money in exchange for printing these files if you are acting as a printing service for an individual who has bought their own copy of the files, charging a reasonable price for print time and materials, but not for the files themselves. You are not allowed to print copies and put them up for sale whatsoever - not in a brick-and-mortar shop or on any online marketplace, not as individual pieces or fully-assembled. This is because I sell printed copies of these myself, and retain the sole right to sell physical versions of them.
If you don't have a 3D printer of your own, you are allowed to transfer the files to a local makerspace, send them to an individual or company who provides printing services, or to a friend or family member with a printer who said they'd print them up for you. If you do transfer the files to get them printed for you, they're not allowed to keep them for their own use without buying their own copy.
You are not allowed to otherwise share, redistribute, or reupload the files anywhere, modified or unmodified, for commercial or non-commercial use, free or pay. You can modify the files as you like for your own personal use (if you want to tweak or scale something for your own printing, go ahead!), but you can't upload, distribute, give away, or sell them, modified or not - no derivatives allowed.
