Care & Washing Instructions
These handmade items need special love & care.
Keep washing to a minimum if possible. I recommend hand-washing only with a mild soap. Do not use any soap or detergent containing phosphates, bleach, or sodium. Air dry only. Do not dry in direct sun light. Over-washing may cause the print to fade. If fading occurs over time. Washing the print in a dilute bath of hydrogen peroxide can help you restore it to its original intensity.
Cyanotype prints are permanent. However, yellowing may appear in time. Also yellow spots may occur if prints are exposed to phosphates or alkaline environments so, cyanotype fabrics must be laundered in cold water using non-phosphate detergents.
