This fabric is very nice and soft. It would make a lovely baby's blanket or crib blanket. It could also be used for a nice lightweight throw. I had bought it to use to make waffle weave hand towels, but the weave may end up being a little delicate for that; I will try it and see. Do expect the fabric to shrink in both directions after laundering according to the instructions. I order one 'unit' of 50"x72" and after laundering it was about 48" wide by 70" long. That 48" includes about 1" of selvage edge on one side. I have yet to see how easy it is to hem but overall it is very nice fabric and I would recommend it for a blanket or throw as long as it kept away from things that might snag the threads of the weave.
