A stunning rustic bohemian slab necklace of chrysoprase gemstone slabs. Such gorgeous shades of green and wonderful texture in these stones ~ and even more beauty happens when combined with turquoise sticks and a beautiful Kazuri* focal bead. There is a very modern yet ethnic tribal vibe to this piece with a little southwestern flair too.

Chrysoprase is said to promote the love of truth, hope, and mend broken hearts. It stimulates creativity.

*Kazuri beads are handmade in Kenya. Kazuri in Swahili means “small and beautiful”. The fair-trade workshop, based near Nairobi, primarily hires single mothers to make these beautiful hand-formed and hand-painted ceramic beads. The beads are then polished and kiln-fired, painted and fired again. None are exactly alike but all are beauties.

You are purchasing a one of a kind handmade item that may be more delicate than mass produced jewelry; please treat it gently and with reasonable care.

I use jewelers grade sealers on patinas and surface treatments to protect them and your skin. Polymer clay and metals may have added patinas/surface treatments and though quite durable, should not be dunked in water or chemicals. Clean with a soft cloth if necessary. Paper bead components also have at least 2 coats of polycrylic sealer and are quite water resistant but not water proof.

Do not shower or swim in your jewelry.

♥ Process:
My paper beads are made from paper I paint by hand or digitally design and print to create certain patterns and color combinations; the papers are cut into strips and rolled into beads; they are sealed with at least two coats of either matte or shiny polycrylic and are extremely durable and quite water resistant (but as with all mixed media jewelry you are advised not to shower or swim in it). I have even accidentally sent some beads through the washer/dryer without any damage. I do not, however, recommend it. :-)
Care for your paper jewelry gently as you would any other fine jewelry.
