This Snowman quilt block is made using FPP techniques and will look fabulous in any number of patchwork and quilting projects. You might be making a pillow or cushion or you might be making a whole quilt!
This PDF pattern includes full sized templates for creating this jolly Snowman quilt block in two different block sizes: 6″ and 10″. Eyes can be added via applique or your could try buttons (as long as the finished project is not being given to small children) or you could hand embroider them.
The pdf INSTRUCTIONS feature:
:: Coloured illustration of the block
:: Blank diagram for colouring/planning fabric placement
:: Diagrams for joining the FPP sections, including where it’s important to match seams
:: Guidance on printing the pattern pieces the correct size
The PATTERN PIECES feature:
:: Digitally drawn pattern pieces
:: 1/4″ seam allowances on all sections
:: Reversed so you create a block that looks exactly as the illustration
:: Coloured and labelled to make construction as easy as possible
:: Laid out to print on A4 or Letter paper. One larger piece for the 10" version will need to be joined together before starting to sew (guidance provided)

DIFFICULTY
This pattern features the same block in two different sizes. I would recommend for a beginner to start with the 10″ version of the block as the pieces are larger in size. The 6" version of the block has been simplified in a couple of places to make it a little easier.
There are a few places where the seams need to match when joining sections (refer to green circles on page 4), take your time and it will turn out just fine!
This pattern assumes that you already know how to paper piece so there are no FPP technique tips included with the instructions (see below for links to tutorials).
