About this item

African Mahogany Mantel- Made to ORDER

CONTACT ME WITH YOUR ADDRESS TO GET AN ACCURATE SHIPPING COST!

5 tall x 7 deep x 60 long This is an example of the floating mantel in African Mahogany. This is made of solid African Mahogany, not Plywood! Make no mistake, this is a hollow light piece that can be easily mounted, with the included mounting bracket. You do not see any end or side grain that is prevalent in most other floating mantels, giving the illusion of a solid beam. I can custom craft in any size you wish in a variety of materials and finishes, such as Walnut, Cherry, Maple, Pine, Oak, Quarter sawn Sycamore, Ambrosia Maple, Ash, Cedar. etc... Contact me for pricing on a specific size and material for a quote. Shipping may be adjusted, pending distance.

I use superior quality materials, obtained by me. The colors are all natural, I don't stain, I bring out the NATURAL COLORS and BEAUTY within the wood! Others will use cheap materials and then stain to cover the inadequacy of the material. If I want a Mahogany look, I use Mahogany!

All my pieces are carefully crafted in Virginia’s foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountain range before being meticulously packed and lovingly sent to you.

I do not sign, number or date my pieces. That seems a bit arrogant to me. I feel that each piece needs to stand on its own.

I am a one man show and am responsible for every step of production. Every piece starts with me finding a downed log or unwanted tree, cutting it into logs, milling it into boards, curing the material, machining all pieces, assembling, finishing, and packaging. Since I have total control over the entire process, I am responsible for the quality every step of the way and I believe that it shows.

All of my products are made by my hand, from the start of getting the logs, to writing this. I try to expose and show off the natural beauty that comes from within each log. Not knowing exactly what each log holds, my job then becomes utilizing the elegance of the material with functionality of design to obtain a workable, functional piece of art. Of course, each piece's "peak" is restricted by the quality of materials obtained. My job becomes paring like quality materials, while amplifying each pieces unique characteristics to their greatest potential to obtain a working piece that maximizes material elegance with pure function."/

The mantle is beautiful! Wonderful quality and craftsmanship. In fact, one person has already asked for the link to Mr. Koleszar’s website, as he was so impressed with the workmanship. We are so pleased! When there was an unusual hiccup in shipping (the shipper accidentally sent me the wrong one), he was quick to respond, figure out the issue, and provided excellent customer service in response. It was an unusual and extenuating circumstance. He was also very understanding when the wrong piece that was delivered to me initially was way too big and heavy for me to return it until my husband was available to help me on the weekend, that it couldn’t be helped either. He also refunded the shipping, gave a discount, and reimbursed me for the return shipping of the incorrect piece. He did everything correctly to right the mistake.
