This dress is gorgeous and really high quality! I am a history teacher, and can't wait to bring history to life for my students! The fabric is really and high quality, as it the stitching. The design is fabulous and so authentic. I literally feel like I popped out of "Pride and Prejudice". Seller is super reposive and was more than willing to make sure the dress would fit me exactly. I will be a customer for life (got my eye on gowns from other eras)!!
This was a great buy. I enjoyed the historical information about working dresses, and the diagram of the pattern was not as difficult to copy out as I thought. It took me less than an hour, including marking out 2-inch squares on the back of wrapping paper! It is only one size, but I don't think it would be too difficult for the sewer to adjust to other sizes if required. Going to have a practice go with an old duvet cover before I order 7 metres of fabric to make a "nice" dress! Great pattern, thank you.
Nice write up but the pattern doesn’t give much in way of alteration for different sizes if you’re a beginner. But I’ll figure it out and work with it! Worth it for just the historical information alone
My dress just came. it fits perfectly! I was concerned because I was the one sending the measurements but Aimee's diagram of how to take them worked wonderfully. In addition, Aimee helped me select shoes. I sent what I had found and she helped find the ones most historically correct. She has been a great resource. I can hardly wait from the additional items I ordered. The dress also came with care instructions for washing and storing.
