We use this to deter large birds of prey near us and my little Chihuahua/Pug loves it. It's much more comfortable for her compared to her kevlar spike vest and she just looks like a little cute disco ball playing outside. I feel much better when she has it on in the yard and on our walks.

The dog coats are designed with a type of turtle neck. It can be flipped down to show off the contrast lining, maybe it won't look as odd that way. It is shown both ways in the listing. I hope that helps!
