Is there any outer coating done on the product for better finish & shine?

Swadeshi Blessings highly condemn this wrongful act. All our clay pots are 100% eco-friendly and unglazed i.e. we are not using any chemical paints on the exterior to give a better finish and glossiness to the product. All our products are still made using the traditional style of pottery i.e on the potter's wheel and baked using wood and ash that retains the natural clay benefits. They are also stone polished by hand, in the end, to impart that mirror finishing to the product. Most of the pots available in the market today are machines made of moulds and fired in Oven at very high temperature that destroys all the useful clay benefits. Beware of such clay pots!!!! Usage Instructions-

1. When you start using the product for the first time, immerse it in water or buttermilk for 24 hours.
2. This gives the product better strength & robustness. That water or buttermilk can be used in the meal (Zero wastage). After that apply any virgin oil generously both on the inside and outside along with the lid and allow it to absorb for 4-5 hours.
3. Start cooking with a low flame and then move to medium flame after few minutes. Sudden rise or fall of the temperature may lead to its cracking.
4. Don't Pre-heat the empty pot and avoid adding cold water to the pot that is already heated.
5. Don’t use harsh detergents, since clay is porous and this might absorb the chemicals that will be hazardous to health.
6. Usage & Cleaning instructions are provided along with the package.
