Time in the mountains has always allowed me respite while also providing physical challenges and a source of beauty. The mountains understand my need for silence in this world that is often loud. And the sanctuary of the space is so special it causes me to feel alive! This collection is inspired by John Muir’s commitment to working for and studying of nature with intense observation. He is known for saying, “The mountains are calling and I must go.”
This piece has been named “Tranquility.” The tranquility in the mountains equals peace, repose and calm. Is it the pure air or the abstinence from work? The mountains provide rest.
