This is a 1941 issue of "L' Illustration" dedicated to art.

L'Illustration was a weekly French newspaper published in Paris from 1843 to 1944. It was founded by Édouard Charton and the first issue was published on March 4, 1843. In 1891, L'Illustration became the first French newspaper to publish a photograph.

This particular issue is a CHristmas special that contains many articles about ar. Its big format make it perfect for photographs and advertising.
