This tutorial is for creating veneers, not finished pieces.
Available only in English.
I am a polymer clay artist and I've been working with polymer clay for about 15 years now.
With this tutorial, you will learn a step-by-step process of this “one slab” mokume gane method that I named Contours and Blends © which will allow you to create a veneer with beautiful color transitions, deliberate patterns, and precise designs, which means that you can intentionally create clean, colorful, contoured and very detailed motifs on your veneers that you can incorporate into your own work, either jewelry, decoration, sculptures or more.
The skill level of Advanced Beginner or Intermediate is required for this tutorial. A basic knowledge of clay conditioning, color gradient sheets, mica shift technique, and cane reducing is recommended.
You will find here a lot of explanatory pictures of the process and a couple of videos. You will also learn six additional variations of this same method, with examples of the kind of veneers you can get using these variations and also examples of how I used these veneers in my work.
This includes color recipes and step-by-step instructions. 49 pages with over 150 photos as well as videos.
You can find examples of my work made using this method on my Instagram https://www.instagram.com/susyparedesb/
