I adore this black faille evening skirt suit from the late 1940s/early 1950s. Gorgeous jacket with a nipped in waist, unique buttons and beaded dickie with collar. The buttonholes are bound and are long enough to accommodate the double covered domed buttons, such a unique detail. The double button is repeated at the waist of the center back at he base of the inverted pleat. Beautiful dusty rose faille dickie and collar with beautiful pink seed beads and pearl beads. Turn up cuff with buttons on the 3/4 dolman sleeves. Both pieces are unlined. Great bold shoulder pads. The skirt has a metal side zipper and hooks at the waist. 4 panel A-line skirt with a great swish. Fab silhouette!

Condition is excellent. Signs of general wear and age. There is a bit of some fraying to the left collar point, see pic. Discoloration on the inside collar, see pic. A worn spot to the back right shoulder, see pic. Some shiny spots from the dry cleaner. Dry cleaned and ready to wear.
