This pendant features a cluster of green dioptase crystals. The dioptase cluster is set in solid 14k gold and the pendant as a whole measures 2.6x1.2 inces.

This pendant features a crystal cluster of dioptase. Dioptase is a copper silicate and is famous, above all, for one feature: its stunning color. While almost all copper minerals show great colors dioptase is the absolute king of green. It shows a rich blue-green color unmatched by any other gemstone, richer even than the finest emeralds. That, combined with its typical sparkling crystal form gives it an unrivalled look with numerous flashes of green color.

This piece is from a new find of dioptase clusters in the Congo. These stones have the finest color I've seen in dioptase with an unusual shape and bright sparkling druzy form. This one is even cooler than usual, with a cupped shape and scattered with yellow crystals.
