Materials You Will Need

Printer: A standard home printer (B&W is fine as you will print on colored paper, or you can print on white and paint it later).

Scissors and Craft Knife: An X-Acto style knife is recommended for precise cuts.

Ruler: For folding straight lines.

Glue: clear-drying craft glue or wood glue (PVA) works best. Avoid glue sticks as they are not strong enough for 3D tension.

Scoring Tool: A dried-out ballpoint pen or the dull side of a knife works well to indent the fold lines.

Paper Recommendations The choice of paper is the most important factor in the final look and strength of your model.

Weight: Use Cardstock between 180 gsm and 250 gsm (65 lb to 90 lb cover). Standard office paper (80 gsm) is too thin and will collapse under the weight of the glue and structure.

Color: You can use pre-colored cardstock for the cleanest finish. For the unicorn shown in the photos, you would need White (Body), Pink (Mane/Tail), and Gold/Yellow (Horn).
