A couple of years ago I saw an exhibition about how the scientific glass model-making duo, the Blaschkas, made their work. The exhibition included a bench, torch and tools that the Blaschkas had used. On the bench were the most tiny perfect brass tweezers, cut in a decorative shape and filed beautifully. I immediately went home and started filing my own tweezers into beautiful shapes.
This listing is for one pair of small fine flat tweezers for flameworking, lampworking or any other task requiring small tweezers.
Tweezers are approximately 5 1/2“ long by 1/2“ wide. They feature decorative ornamental hand-filing and they are riveted together with brass rivets. They also have a small loop for hanging.
Choose from brass or stainless steel. Stainless doesn’t heat up as fast but brass is gentler on your glass. I like and use both. When new these tweezers tend to be a little slippery, allow them some time to break in.
These tools are NOT meant to be used in the flame. Using them in the flame will quickly melt and ruin them.
