The hole in the base is offset from center intentionally. If you would prefer it to be centered you are free to alter the file as you see fit.

This file is set up for 3/4 inch thick wood. ** NOTE: If your material is a different thickness, than you must redraw the cutout in the base piece so the tree trunk will fit properly in the hole. Or if your base material is other than 3/4 inch, you will have to shorten or lengthen the tree trunk as well to make it flush with the bottom of the base when inserted. You should also recheck your dimensions of the trunk and the hole in the base after rescaling to ensure that you will have a good fit to allow gluing the tree to the base.*

I've included a couple of pictures in this listing for reference.

The large tree shown in the photo is approximately 14 inches tall and 11 inches wide at the widest part of the tree. This allows for the hanging of a standard sized ornament. Again, this is made from 3/4 inch wood for the tree and the base. Adjustments will be necessary on the tree trunk and hole in the base if a different thickness material is used.

The small tree shown in the picture is about 6.5 inches tall. The tree is 3/4 inch thick but the base is only 1/4 inch thick. It allows you to hang a mini ornament approximately 1" in size in the opening. So the tree trunk part that extends into the base was modified prior to cutting to prevent it from sticking out the bottom of the thinner base material.

The ornament can be hung from the tree an any way you see fit. I've tied them on with string/ribbon and I have also drilled a hole in them sometimes to thread an ornament hanger wire through. Thank you for your interest. If you do purchase, please consider leaving a review. It helps!
