Very large antique baluster vase and beaker vase by Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft).
This exceptional set, model "Louis XV", is a gem for display at your home. Both vases are beautifully decorated with a romantic castle scene on the front, surrounded by ornate borders and floral motives on the sides. The lid of the balustervase is topped with a lion. The overall light appearance of the vases support their visibility on top of a cupboard (certainly in the time when they were produced..).
This set was made during the heydays of Porceleyne Fles factory and is painted by three senior artists. Interestingly, the balustervase has no yearcode but can safely be dated as a companion of the beakervase. Handpainted collectors items. Rare & antique.
Condition of both vases is undamaged. No repairs, chips, cracks or hairlines. Only the lid has two spots: lid has tiny chip at bottom edge (left back; uncertain if repaired). See picture bottom lid. A hairline with two "flea bites" is present at foot of knob at front, but not around (no breakage or repair). See picture lid. Overall crazing is commensurate with age. All in one: this is a rare set of vases is in an excellent condition.
