This is a sensory weighted blanket. The blanket comes in 3 to 20 pounds and measurements are in inches.
The blanket is reinforced around all the sides and the weight inside the blanket is evenly spread and unable to gather in just one area. Individual sections are typically approx 6x6 inches.
This is filled with non toxic poly pellets and can be washed in a washing machine and dried in a clothes dryer. This is a very durable blanket.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:
Weighted Blankets should be used as part of therapy. No one should EVER be forced to use a weight product, or wrapped/swaddled in one, nor should a weighted blanket be used over someones head and/or face area. Weighted Blankets should be made available to the individual and used as a tool for comfort as they feel the need. Do not use on infants under 3 months of age ever, or on infants under one year without consulting with your physician, persons with serious lung conditions or difficulty breathing, without consent and direction of a physician. Please consult your physician, clinician, or therapist with any questions about specific individual use. If poly-pellets should release from a Blanket due to damage, or long-term wear, they are not harmful, but can be a choking hazard, and care should be taken to make sure they are not ingested, as is the case with any non-edible item. NamasteHandMade manufactures products only and cannot give advice on Therapy. We will make each product to order based on your order & specifications. The formula we recommend is 10% of body weight + 1 lb, is the industry standard, and has been suggested by many therapists. We are not your licensed therapists. To ensure you have the correct weight for your needs, please contact your doctor, clinician or therapist. NamasteHandMade takes every precaution to ensure a quality product. Please inspect for defect or damage before use. If noted please discontinue use immediately. Products are completely encased and all exterior seams are double stitched for your safety. If you notice a tear, especially one exposing pellets, discontinue use until repair or replacement can be made. Do not ever place our products in the Microwave Oven as they could cause serious burns or a fire. Also heat such as the oven or direct heat from sources such as an iron will cause damage. If you would like to warm your blanket, we recommend placing it in the clothes dryer for 10-20 minutes as the ONLY way to warm it.

NamasteHandMade products are not licensed products of the copyright/trademark owners of the fabrics used. Our products however may be hand-crafted from licensed fabric. With the exception of the fabric, the blankets and other products are not affiliated/connected with, or sponsored in any way with the copyright/trademark owners.

Return Policy: All sales are final
As with any handmade item, there will be some variation on inch measurement and weight. Tape measures, quilting rules, yard sticks, and other measuring tools can and will measure an "inch" a bit different. We do our best to produce your finished product as close to the advertised dimension and weight as possible. Also, to ensure that your item remains in NEW condition, and to avoid any ALLERGY interactions, we DO NOT PREWASH FABRIC. After you receive your item, should you choose to wash-please note, the majority of our products are made with cotton or other natural fibers that can shrink during the laundering process.
CLARIFICATION TO "POCKET/PARTITION/SECTIONS" THAT HOLD THE WEIGHTED PELLETS OR GLASS BEADS:
As described earlier in this listing, our blankets have sewn "pockets, partitions, sections" that hold the weighted medium used to weight the blanket. These are approximately 6x6 inches. PLEASE NOTE: EACH POCKET WILL HOLD A SPECIFIC AMOUNT OF WEIGHT IN OUNCES BASED ON THE OVERALL WEIGHT OF THE BLANKET. The pocket sizes will not change based on overall weight of the blanket. For example, a 5 pound blanket would have a lesser amount of filling than a 20 pound blanket. ALSO PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE FILLING IN EACH POCKET WILL MOVE AROUND IN THAT PARTICULAR POCKET. To reiterate, while the OVERALL weighted filling of the blanket will not shift and gather or bunch into a mass of filling on the bottom or sides of the blanket when in use, the filling inside each pocket will be able to freely move around it's assigned pocket. We are working with plastic pellets or small glass beads....they will not be individually sewn into the weave of the fabric to hold it to one assigned part of the fabric like a button is sewn onto clothing. We cannot control the gravitational force of the earth and make all pellets/beads not move around at all. We apologize that we cannot fulfill everyone's expectations based off of blankets that are not our own. We encourage that if you have used a weighted blanket in the past and love it and the way it is made, please repurchase blankets from that company and do not expect our blankets to mimic their design. We have worked hard to perfect our design and what works for our customers. We will not fulfill ANY requests to alter our design for ANY reason.
Filling medium is based on WEIGHT and not the physical amount of pellets/beads included in each pocket. Please do not disassemble blanket and count each pellet then complain that one pocket has 2,532 pellets and another pocket only has 2,439.
ALL LISTINGS DEFAULT TO THE SMALLEST AND LIGHTEST OPTION WE HAVE AVAILABLE. If you do not click on the drop down menu and select a specific size and weight you WILL be ordering our SMALLEST AND LIGHTEST SIZE. We do not accept returns or exchanges for any reason, including but not limited to: "I expected a twin size and got a small, light blanket." "Why did you send me a tiny blanket when I wanted to cover my full size bed with this." And so on...
ALSO: The aesthetics of our finished products are important to us, and so is our stability and durability. For ensure our triple stitch design all the way around out blankets we FOLD OVER THE BACKING FABRIC on top of the front fabtic to create a band of color/design from the back to the front. If this fold over will be an issue for yourself or the blanket user PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE from us.
Having the experience of making weighted blankets for years now, we have to insist that if you have ANY questions please message the shop PRIOR TO ORDERING. We promise that unless you message us overnight we drop everything to answer inquiries. We will respond quickly.

Our blankets will:
1. Have chalk lines, don't worry...they come off with use or washing. If your blanket didn't have straight lines you would be sad. This gives us a guide to sew on. We are working on patenting contact lenses with grid lines so we can see lines while we sew and not have to use chalk. Patent Pending.

2. Have pockets the size of approx 6x6 inches, no...we wont make them smaller or larger for you. This is our blanket design, with the popularity in weighted blankets there are literally hundreds of shops to choose from if you would prefer smaller or larger pockets.

3. The filling used for the weight of your blanket will be evenly distributed into those pockets, but that filling will be able to move around that assigned pocket. (Think of your toddler's snack bag filled with cheerios, if you fill it too full you can't close the top, but if they grab the bag and shake it, the cheerios will shake around inside. Same thing with our blankets. We can't fill the pockets too full, because if we did we couldn't close them. Our blankets are not air tight.

5. Our blankets are literally 2 pieces of fabric with the weighted fill in between. No fluff, no fill, no batting. If you want a fluffy blanket we will be happy to recommend another shop that uses such a design. We will not add fluff, fill, or batting to our blankets.

7. Your blanket size in an order for a custom blanket will default in your order to our 28x32 size in 3 pounds if you do not select the size and weight you want. If you want a twin size 20 pound blanket for $50 please go to your nearest Walmart or to Amazon for a chinese import.

8. All dimensions and weights are approximate. We strive to be exact, but scales and measuring implements can vary. We offer weighted filling as a supply if you want to make an exact version for yourself. We will be happy to provide you with a link if you are interested.

9. We cannot sell an item as NEW if we WASH the fabric; therefore, you may experience shrinkage once you launder the blanket. Please purchase a size up if this will be an issue for you.
