This plate was carefully hand-cut and formed using a slab of quality stoneware clay. It was left to dry for a minimum of two weeks to avoid warping or cracking and then fired in a hot kiln, washed and sanded before hand-painting on the unique glaze design. It was then fired again at a very high temperature to create a durable and unique handmade piece. Finally, I sanded the bottom one more time to ensure a smooth base to protect your tables. Each plate takes me a minimum of one month to make, start to finish.

Perfect plate for your morning avocado on toast, or keep it on display as an art piece in your home!

ABOUT MY CERAMIC ART:
I am a Biripi Woman from Newcastle, NSW. I slowly hand-build all of my pieces in my home on Boonwurrung Country in Victoria, Australia. Each piece is made from a durable and high quality food-safe stoneware clay, finished with a food-safe glaze and fired twice in a kiln at a high temperature. Since each piece is hand crafted, they are all one of a kind functional ceramic art pieces.

ABOUT MY PRICING:
Please keep in mind that each ceramic piece takes a minimum of a month for me to make, from start to finish. It takes quite a bit of work and time and a whole lot of very expensive materials and firing costs. I also have to pay for the free shipping, careful packaging to ensure your items don't break and the fees that Etsy takes from creators to use this site (that are all free for you). So I am probably not making as much from each item as you think. Each piece is also a completely unique hand-made piece of ceramic ART, so I really hope you appreciate and love my work!
