Yes, in most instances. I pride myself on items being ready to wear when the buyer receives them. Any item that can be washed at home has been laundered before listing. The only exception is where the item requires specialist or dry cleaning (such as leather or heavily embellished/beaded fabric) – I do not want to pass on the cost of this additional overhead to the customer though these items rarely need regular cleaning so these should also be wearable when you receive them.

I use a tailor’s dummy, whose size is adjustable. Typically speaking (since I use this dummy for dressmaking also!) she is set to my own size which is a modern-day UK size 10-12 – bust 34”– waist 28”–hips 40”.
