Rusted Items: No special care is needed! Rinse with water if dirty. Rusted items are safe in all weather. No need to bring them in for the winter. Powder Coated Items: Powder Coat is a very durable finish. Safe in all weather. If needed it can be washed with soap and water. Do not use an abrasive pad. Custom Automotive Paint: Treat this finish just like your car. After 6 months of drying time it can even be polished or waxed. Safe outdoors in any weather. Will not fade or peel like spray paint. If needed our painted signs can be washed with soap and water using a soft cloth. Do not use an abrasive pad.

Gift wrapping and packaging

We do not offer gift wrap due to the size of our items. Gift wrap will not survive the shipping process in an attractive manner.

Can I send this item as a gift?

Yes, you can ship items directly to a gift recipient. Please be sure to enter their address correctly during checkout for a seamless transaction.

Will the price be displayed if I send this item as a gift?

You can select to ship the item as a gift. A packing slip will be printed with your item, but it will not include any pricing information.

Can I send a gift note or a card with the order?

We do not offer hand-written notes or cards at this time. You can enter a gift message to your gift recipient during checkout. This message will be printed on the packing slip which also does not include any pricing information.

Custom Heart Shaped Pet Memorial Signs are a cost-effective, durable way to remember your pet. This rustic garden stake is large enough for great visibility but blends in to the natural landscape well.

Customize this sign with the options in the drop-down menu or contact us if you need to add a new pet to our list.

The face of the stake is cut out of steel about as thick as a nickel and is available in four sizes:
• Medium: 11.5 inches wide heart, 23 inches tall overall, single word/name only
• Large: 15 inches wide heart, 28 inches overall, upgraded kicker for support, up to three short words or one name with date
• Extra Large: 17.5 inches wide heart, 34 inches overall, upgraded kicker for support, space for longer text or multiple names/dates
• Extra Large Extra Tall: 19.25 inches wide heart, 48 inches overall, upgraded kicker for support, space for longer text or multiple names/dates

Please note that the naturally rusted finish is made of real, rusted steel. Signs have been pre-soaked to begin the rusting process. The patina will only improve with age! Irregular colors are to be expected, and with time outdoors the entire item will turn a golden rusty brown. Rusted steel can stain fabrics and leave residue on your hands. Please be aware that the item may have sharp edges. Gardening gloves are recommended. This finish is not intended as an indoor product.

This do-it-yourself raw steel sign is coated with an oily film to prevent rust during transit. While we use brand new steel and use rust preventative measures on the mild steel, your raw steel sign can develop slight surface rusting during shipment to your location. This is most likely during transits in high humidity and/or the package being delivered in the rain. Any light surface rust is easily removed by lightly sanding or scuffing with a green scrubbing pad before painting or display.

We recommend lacquer based paint thinner, acetone, automotive brake cleaner or solvent based wax & grease remover to clean the oily film off of the sign before painting. Sanding with a 220 grit or finer sand paper or using a green scrubbing pad to scuff the surface of the metal will greatly enhance paint adhesion. Spray paint with primer is an easy coating for this type of sign. We do not recommend water-based paint on raw steel products as it can cause rust instead of preventing it. Always paint the back side first, so that the front will not be placed down after painting.
