PDF knitting pattern for an easy to knit baby cardigan.
The cardigan is part of my Style Me Simple collection, featuring simple, minimalist designs. They are ideal as part of a baby capsule wardrobe, a good choice for a beginner knitter or as a base for one of my embroidery for baby clothing designs.
The cardigan is knit from the top down using DK weight yarn. Top down designs need no or minimal seaming and are very popular with knitters.
The button bands are knit at the same time so there are no stitches to pick up.
The knitting pattern has clear instructions, stage by stage photos and links to video tutorials.
The cardigan can be knitted either on a circular needle or long straight needles
You will receive 2 PDFs. Just download the one you prefer.

PATTERN DETAILS:
SIZES: Newborn, 0 - 3 months, 3 - 6 months, 6 - 12 months, 12 - 18 months, 18 - 24 months, 2 - 4 years

YARN: Approx 220 - 440 metres (240 - 482 yards) DK weight yarn depending on size knitted

NEEDLES: 3.5 mm (US size 4) and 4 mm (US size 6), either long straights or circular depending on construction method

TENSION/GAUGE: 22 st and 30 rows over 10 cm (4") in stocking stitch (stockinette) using 4 mm (US size 6) needles

SKILL LEVEL: Easy, Advanced beginner

TECHNIQUES: cast on, knit, purl, simple increase and decrease, cast off (bind off)

If English is not your preferred language, you can use Google Translate to translate the PDF into your own language.

Please note that knitting abbreviations may not translate correctly, so you may need to refer to the original English pattern.
