Handmade art pendant necklace featuring the Greek goddess Athena.
Athena is the Olympian goddess of wisdom and war and the adored patroness of the city of Athens. A virgin deity, she was also associated with peace and handicrafts, especially spinning and weaving. Majestic and stern, Athena surpassed everybody in both of her main domains. In fact, even Ares feared her; and all Greek heroes asked her for help and advice.
Her major symbols include owls, olive trees, snakes, and the Gorgoneion. In art, she is generally depicted wearing a helmet and holding a spear.

This art glass pendant has been carefully handcrafted by us in our home studios in Sweden.
The art print is covered with a clear glass domed cabochon which enhances the image, then set in a high quality metal setting.
The pendant measures 36x28mm including bail and comes with a 25 mm split ring for keyrings or a matching 60 cm chain with a lobster clasp for necklaces. Please feel free to contact us if you would like the chain cut shorter/longer.
All our art pendants are composed of lead- and nickel free metal and available in either silver or bronze finish.
Please note that these pendants are not waterproof, so remove them before you go swimming or dancing in the rain ;-)
