Is the Basket liners washable? Can I place the liner in the washing machine?

Yes it is washable, but only by hand with a mild detergent. Like you wash a delicate item. I don't suggest putting the liner or any other cross stitched pieces in a washing machine because these item are similar to a delicate piece of garments. I do incourage you to please treat your item this way so your item will last a lifetime. Thank you!

What are the Caring instructions for the basket liners?

After you hand wash the liner then you want to place it in a White or natural colored bath towel and let it dry flat. (This will help to prevent the towel from bleeding onto your piece). After the liner dries you can iron on a low to medium setting (yes you can use steam) make sure to iron it on the wrong side and cover it with a WHITE hankerchief or pillow case to prevent from scorching and bleeding. Can I place the basket liner or any other cross stitched pieces in the dryer?

I don't suggest doing this, to prevent the item from shrinking. But after you let it air dry until it's almost dry you can place in dryer for only about 5 minutes on a delicate, very low heat or air dry setting. Also please do not place other colors with your liner to prevent other items from bleeding on the cross stitch piece. I am giving you some suggestions and ideas but if you do use these, please use at your own discretion because I am unable to do a return on damaged items. Thank you!

Can I place breads or other food items on the basket liners?

Yes you can, but I suggest to maybe place some parchment paper or even a small towel or napkin on top of liner to catch or prevent butter or other items from dripping. Of course you can wash this item by hand or on a delicate wash. I am only giving you suggestions to help you care for your cross stitched piece to make it last longer. Thank you!

Is it better to have your cross stitched piece in a frame with glass or no glass?

I myself prefer it behind glass in a frame because this helps keep out other air born things such as dust and smells from reaching your items. It is also a good idea to put a mat in between the stitched piece and glass. Also I do have some of my framed items behind glass without a mat but the cross stitched piece is not touching the glass.

How long will my cross stitched piece last that isn't in a frame?

My suggestion is if you take very good care of your piece it will last a lifetime. I can say that I have used Scotch Guard spray on some of my items to make sure that dust doesn't accumulate on the piece. I can use this on your item only if you ask me to do this because I don't want to spray a chemical on your item in case you or the person you are buying it for has allergies, breathing problems, etc. I am not saying the smell will be on the piece forever ( the smell does dissipate after a couple hours) but I will only spray the piece when you order it. So please email me to let me know you want your piece specifically treated with scotch guard spray. Thank you!

Here's a perfect wedding announcement pattern that is a Made to Order or Custom Order Completed Cross Stitch piece.
