Hello there!

I am an Occupational Therapy Student (soon to be certified Occupational Therapist) who has chosen to design and make gross motor, regulatory activities for pediatric clients that can be played in person, as well as on Telehealth services. I found through my fieldwork opportunities, that young clients enjoyed new and visually entertaining activities that was tailored to their goals.

For example, a pediatric client who may struggle with sensory sensitives and ADHD may enjoy this activity. Have them put on a clothing item that may be uncomfortable on their skin and play this game. You will need this sheet and one or two dice. You can even share your screen of this document and locate a free dice spinner online. Be creative with this!

The dice sides correlate with two movement activities. You can have the client choose between the two options. You could get involved and do the activity with the client. The world is open and wide for all occupational therapists who are hardwired to be creative. While these are my thoughts for this activity, that doesn't mean that here aren't more ways to play.
