Tips on sending me the perfect photo:

Clothing:
• Make sure your clothing isn’t the same color as the background.
• If you choose to wear a hat in your photo, make sure it doesn’t cast a shadow on your face; take your photo in front of a good light!
• Make sure your glasses aren't glaring and avoid using flash.

What is in the background of your photo?
• Good lighting is important! Don't stand in front of a window or door when taking your photo.
• Choose a solid-colored wall for your photo’s background.

Who is taking the photo?
• Selfies don't work well; have someone else take your photo or use the self-timer.
• If you use a smartphone to upload your photos, make sure the file is as large as possible.
• Use a vertical format for your photo at eye level and include background space around your head and shoulders. (Anything beyond your shoulders will be cropped.)

Cropping your photo:
• Make sure the photo includes from the top of your head, down to your waist.
• If your photo is with multiple people, make sure you crop them out if possible.
