Stay organized in style with these classic linen-covered notebooks, custom pressed with your own foil embossed text.

Adorned with the words, initials, monogram, name, date, or other short phrase in your foil press color of choice, these blank notepads bound with linen hardcovers add the perfect custom touch. Each notebook comes with the same letters foil pressed / embossed on the cover in a timeless serif font, in your choice of foil color on a pine, rust, or sand linen bookcloth cover.

Journal size is 5.5" x 8.3" (A5); 80 blank pages / 160 sheets. Linen book cloth covered hardcover. Interior paper weight is 120 gsm, and is designed to hold up to ballpoint pens, rollerball pens, fountain pens, and highlighters. Each notebook comes with two page marker ribbons, one ivory and the other one matching the notebook cover color.

These customized notebooks make beautiful wedding guestbooks, travel notepads, graduation treasures, holiday notepads, stocking stuffers, mother's day or father's day gifts, thank you's, birthday presents, engagement planners, wedding planning books, or gratitude gifts. So where did the shop name come from? A portmanteau is an old French word for a box or suitcase that opens into two equal parts (much like my matchboxes). The shop logo is derived from an imagined antique lock on an old leather suitcase, something like one would carry on a long train journey. And just how do you pronounce portmanteau? It rhymes with studio (port-man-toe). :)
