ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Starlight Palazzo Pants are a unique sewing pattern with a design that allows the finished trousers to be adjustable at the waist across a range of sizes. They have a relaxed but elegant fit with 2 deep pockets, front pleats and a high waistband. The waistband is flat at the front for a flattering tailored look with a drawstring and gathers at the back to give the flexibility in size.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL
This pattern is suitable for intermediate sewers - I aim to make the process as clear as possible in the instructions & accompanying video but you may find it a challenge as an absolute beginner or as a first garment project.

SIZING
It is a unisex pattern with 3 size options - Small, Medium and Large. Please see sizing chart in product images for full details.

SEWING MACHINE REQUIREMENTS
This project can be sewn entirely on a domestic sewing machine. Raw edges may be finished either with a zig zag stitch or with a serger if you have one.

MATERIALS & EQUIPMENT NEEDED
• Fabric: 1.8 - 3.5yds (1.6 - 3.2 metres) - see below and Cutting Layout for more details
• Matching thread
• 6” of 1-1.25” (15cm of 2.5-3cm) wide flat elastic
• 80” of 1-1.5” (2m of 2.5-4cm) wide ribbon or tape (for the drawstring)
• a 4x20” (10x50cm) rectangle of stiff iron-on interfacing (the woven type is best)
• 16x40”(40x100cm) of lining - Lined Pocket version only
• Scissors
• Pins
• Tape measure
• Chalk / chalk pencil
• Sewing machine

RECOMMENDED FABRIC
light-mid weight cotton, soft Linen, lightweight/suiting wool, viscose challis, bamboo challis, chambray, soft satin and very lightweight velvet

PRINTING
Print out the pattern at 100% scale
Use the scale guide on the first page of the pattern to check for accuracy
There are 2 pattern versions included with this download:
• A4/US Letter for home printing - 36 pages
• A0/36x48” for international copyshop printing - 2 x A0 sheets OR 2 x 36x48” sheets
