Yeti Ice Blocker version 2 is here! Version 1 was great; but only worked on rambler chug caps. Version 2 improves on this design by friction fitting into Chug Caps and any Rambler lid that uses a Mag Dock cap. This includes the Magdock and the 1/2 gallon and 1 gallon monster jug lid. As of this posting; it is the ONLY ice blocker for the 1 and 1/2 Gallon Jug lids.

Yeti's Rambler line of insulated drink ware is excellent. Some caps / lids are insulated, easy to carry, and protects the mouthpiece from bugs and dirt. Unfortunately, it has a few major faults! When you drink from it, the ice within either jams up at the spout and clogs the flow. Or worse; it hits you on the lips or teeth! Ouch! I've found this super annoying; and decided to make a device to stop this. I present to you, the "Yeti Ice Blocker". Its printed of Food grade PETG plastic; and friction fits into your existing cap. When it comes time to clean your cap and ice blocker; its easy to remove, clean, and re-install.

Another consideration for the cap, is the flow rate of the ice blocker. Does it impede your ability to chug your drink? No it doesn't. The Ice Blocker does not impede flow by any discernible amount. While designing and settling on the pattern of holes to use in my final design; I conducted tests for flow. Basically; I would stick it on a faucet and turn the tap on full-blast. The water flowed easily and did not back up. I also installed the Yeti Ice Blocker on a cap and turned the tap to full on. Again, the flow did not back up or seep out anywhere except through the Ice Blocker. So......it flows water at a rate that is equal to or GREATER than municipal tap water. If you can or need to chug water faster than a tap can pour it out; then I don't know what to tell you other than the ice itself will impede flow more than the Yeti Ice Blocker will.

The blocker is meant for COLD drinks only. Keep it away from your hot coffee and coco's. Liquids near boiling (above 70 C or 160 F) may interfere with the friction fit and cause the device to need adjustments to work properly. It shouldn't need to be said, but all that's for sale is an Ice Blocker (as pictured in the thumbnail). The Yeti Chug Cap, and Jug lid in the photos are for demonstration purposes only and are NOT included in the sale. Hand wash only in cool water and mild soap.
