Antique Teachers Certificates Ocean County New Jersey | 19th Century Graphics, Writing | Junk Journal Decoupage Collage Mixed Media Art

These 4 antique Teacher's Certificates were presented to Samuel Vannote of Ocean County, NJ in 1890, 1891, 1892, and 1894, certifying that he passed tests allowing him to continue teaching third grade. What's interesting is that his grades in each subject got progressively lower over the 4 years!

The largest certificate (tri-fold dated 1894) measures 16"x10.5". All have wonderful typography and beautiful 19th century graphics. The superintendent's and/or examiners' signatures also appear at the bottom in beautiful old handwriting.

The certificates are in very good condition, especially for being over 130 years old! Some edges are creased or have small tears but they don't impact the printed areas. They're all folded along their original fold lines. There are closeups of each certificate, so please have a look.
