Love is in the air when you stitch these sweet ornaments for Valentine’s Day or any time you want to spread a little love. These are fun to add to an “all-seasons” tree or hang on a wreath. You can also make them into a garland or use them to make non-stuffed pins or patches!
This project goes together pretty quickly and requires only basic supplies and some hand embroidery skills. Each finished ornament measures about 3-1/2 inches across.
This 18-page project PDF includes full instructions (with lots of photos) to make nine Hearts Day Felt Ornaments! Includes a heart with arrow, a balloon, a bow, conversation hearts, flowers, folk hearts, a heart wreath, linked hearts, and a valentine.
The felt and floss that I used can be purchased through Benzie Design. (https://www.etsy.com/shop/BenzieDesign) White, Pink, Foxglove, Fuchsia, Coral, Pampas, and Aqua, along with matching embroidery floss plus DMC 310 and 472. With some careful planning, a set of 9x12 sheets will make two sets of ornaments. I also used Benzie’s sequins in Rose Quartz.
You will also receive a PDF stitch guide which you can print and fold to keep on hand!
